Our History

In 1981, St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic School opened its doors as a co-educational parish school to serve as an extension of the teaching mission of St. Elizabeth Seton Church. In conjunction with the Education Department of the Diocese of Venice, SES began with just four classrooms and three portables in the fall of 1981. As enrollment grew and finances became available, most of the portables were replaced with permanent classrooms.Today there is one classroom for each grade serving 255 students in grades PK3 through 8.

Over the years the physical plant expanded to include a media center, computer lab, school office, TV production studio, resource rooms, athletic director office, guidance office, part-time teacher office, art room, teacher lounge, and teacher workroom. Beginning in August 2009, the school initiated a Pre-K program for three year olds. Construction of a new 13,000 square foot gymnasium was completed in the spring of 2011.

St. Elizabeth Seton serves children from all six parishes in Collier County as well as from St. Leo's parish in Lee County, and is located in Naples just off Golden Gate Parkway. The principles and standards of the Florida Catholic Conference integrate Catholic faith and values with daily life and learning. These same standards have been applied to the school's curriculum, ensuring quality programs and justifying the faith parents and others have placed in our school.

We enjoy an excellent reputation in the community as a school that is academically challenging with a strong sense of community, solidly based in the Catholic faith.  It has been said that "Catholic schools do what they do better than anyone else" and we are no exception.
