Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What is the age requirement for a child entering Pre-Kindergarten or Kindergarten?

A.
All Pre-K (3 year old) applicants must be 3 years of age by September 1st of the enrollment year. A
ll Pre-K (4 year old) applicants must be 4 years of age by September 1st of the enrollment year. All Kindergarten applicants be 5 years of age by September 1st of the enrollment year. 
Q. Do you have after school care?
A. Yes. After school care is offered through our Extended Care Program. This program is available to parents from 3-5:30 p.m. on full school days, and from 12:15 – 5:30 p.m. on half days. It is supervised by our teachers. 
Q. Do you offer financial assistance?
A. Yes. Through our tuition assistance fund, and other outside sources, over seventy-five percent of our families receive some type of tuition aid. We are committed to helping provide a Catholic education to families who desire it for their child(ren). Further details can be discussed at your appointment with the Finance Office. 
Q. What if we are not Catholic?
A. St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic School welcomes students of all faiths and believes in the education of the mind, body and spirit of each child in a safe and nurturing environment, while instilling the values taught by our Catholic Faith. 
Q. Do you offer any type of academic assistance to students who have an IEP? What about an accelerated program for those who excel?
A. Yes. SES is equipped with both a resource and an enrichment program to meet the challenges of all learners. We provide extra instruction to students who need help by working with them in small groups, while collaborating with classroom teachers. In addition to their classroom learning, we offer many enrichment opportunities to students who excel. Special subjects such as art, music, band, Spanish, library physical education/health and computer, ensure that all students expand their knowledge and receive a well-rounded education. 
Q. What type of sports do you offer?
A. Our team name is The Panthers and we offer junior varsity and varsity level soccer, volleyball, cross country, basketball, track & field, and golf. 
Q. Do you offer a hot lunch program?
A. Yes. Students may bring their own lunch or order a hot lunch from our cafeteria. The menu varies each month. Daily prices for grades pre-K – 4 are $3.75. Lunches for grades 5 – 8 are $4.25. 
Q. Do students wear uniforms?

A.   All students from PreK through Grade 8 wear a school uniform.
